The Australian Amateur Band Plan – 40M
The 40M band is accessible to all licence classes
- Transmission bandwidth should not exceed 8KHz
- Foundation operators are limited in power output to 10 Watts pX
- Standard operators using emission modes J3E or R3E are limited to 100 watts pX
- Standard operators using other modes are limited to 30 watts pY
- Advanced operators using emission modes J3E or R3E are limited to 400 watts pX
- Advanced operators using other modes are limited to 120 watts pY

- 7.000 – 7.100 MHz is a Primary Amateur allocation
- 7.100 – 7.300 MHz is a Secondary Amateur Allocation
- 7.000 to 7.300 MHz is available for CW operation
- 7.060 to 7.300 MHz is available for SSB operation
- 7.040 to 7.080 MHz is available for Digital modes
