The Australian Amateur Band Plan – 6cm
The 6cm band is accessible to Standard and Advanced licence classes
- Transmission bandwidth is not limited
- Standard operators using emission modes J3E or R3E are limited to 100 watts pX
- Standard operators using other modes are limited to 30 watts pY
- Advanced operators using emission modes J3E or R3E are limited to 400 watts pX
- Advanced operators using other modes are limited to 120 watts pY

- 5.650 – 5.850 GHZ is a Secondary Amateur Allocation
- 5.650 to 5.670 GHz is reserved for Satellite up-link operation
- 5.668 to 5.670 GHz is available for narrow band modes
- 5.668 to 5.672 GHz is available for FM Simplex operation
- 5.672 to 5.680 GHz is available for all modes
- 5.680 to 5.760 GHz is available for various wide band modes
- 5.760 to 5.762 GHz is available for narrow band modes
- 5.762 to 5.764 GHz is available for FM Simplex operation
- 5.764 to 5.770 GHz is available for all modes
- 5.770 to 5.830 GHz is available for various wide band modes
- 5.830 to 5.850 GHz is reserved for Satellite down-link operation
