The Australian Amateur Band Plan – 80M

The 80M band is accessible to all licence classes

  • Transmission bandwidth should not exceed 8KHz
  • Foundation operators are limited in power output to 10 Watts pX
  • Standard operators using emission modes J3E or R3E are limited to 100 watts pX
  • Standard operators using other modes are limited to 30 watts pY
  • Advanced operators using emission modes J3E or R3E are limited to 400 watts pX
  • Advanced operators using other modes are limited to 120 watts pY
  • 3.500 – 3.700 MHz is a Primary Amateur allocation
  • 3.500 to 3.700 MHz is available for CW operation.
  • 3.535 to 3.570 MHz is available for SSB operation.
  • 3.600 to 3.700 MHz is available for SSB operation.
  • 3.570 to 3.600 MHz is available for Digital modes operation.
